Russian elites are considering the possibility of removing Putin from power.

So far, it seems incredible, but it is not excluded that the next head of the Russian Federation will be the oppositionist Oleksii Navalny.

This was stated by the head of the independent international intelligence community Bellingcat, Hristo Grozev, in an interview with Glavkom.

"At the very beginning, we saw that the Kremlin tried in every possible way to keep the hands of individual representatives of the elite "clean" in order to use them in some time, just in case, if the need arises," said Grozev.

According to him, the current Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Mikhail Mishustin, was initially considered to replace Putin in the event of an unfavorable development of the situation.

"However, in the end, his hands were also soiled by involvement in the war. In the event that secret rebels, who are the absolute majority in the presidential entourage, have the opportunity to cement the results of the social revolution, Oleksiy Navalny may well come to power after the elections. By the way, he has already announced that if he gets at the helm, he will demand from the oligarchs 30% of their wealth for the benefit of the state budget. In any case, losing 30% under Navalny is much better for them than 90% during Putin's rule," he noted investigative journalist.

We will remind that the Russian opposition leader Oleksiy Navalny is currently in prison.

On March 22, 2022, the Lefortiv District Court of Moscow sentenced Navalny to 9 years of imprisonment in a high-security prison.

successor operation

Earlier, the Russian opposition political scientist Abbas Gallyamov said that the Kremlin elites are frantically looking for options to prevent riots in Russia itself after the defeat in the war.

One of the options is the so-called "successor operation".

American General Ben Hodges expressed the opinion that the scandalous head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, and the head of the "Wagner" PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, are preparing for the collapse of Russia, and that is why they are creating their own armies.

Former British military intelligence officer Philip Ingram suggested that Prigozhin would be Putin's successor.

At the same time, Hristo Grozev noted that recently a confrontation between Putin and Prigozhin is emerging.
