The British Prime Minister was criticized for not wearing a seat belt in the car.

According to APA's British office, in a video shared by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak from his Instagram account, it is seen that he was not wearing a seat belt while sitting in the back seat of the car.

After the video was released, the police investigated the matter.

A Downing Street spokesman admitted it was a brief error of judgment in a statement:

"The prime minister took off his seat belt to shoot a little video.

He fully admits it was a mistake and apologizes for it.

The Prime Minister believes that everyone should wear a seat belt," the statement said.

According to UK law, a person with no medical problems must also wear a seat belt in the back seat of a car.

Otherwise it carries a fine of up to £500.
