Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdullahian had a telephone conversation with Joseph Borrel, the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs.

According to APA's Tehran office, H. Amir-Abdullahian objected to the European Parliament's designation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as terrorists in a telephone conversation.

H. Amir-Abdullahian said in a telephone conversation that took place after the European Parliament's interventionist and unconventional resolution against Iran that the European Parliament's accusation of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which provides security, as terrorists is a kind of Europe shooting itself in the foot: "With respect for mutual security in the world of diplomacy should be approached, instead of talking about threats and unfriendly actions, increasing mutual trust should be on the agenda. In any case, the response will be mutual."

In a telephone conversation, C. Borrell agreed with the prevailing feelings and concerns in the European Parliament project: "Although the European Parliament is a completely independent institution, this resolution is not enforceable and simply reflects the concerns of Europe."
