Faridabad police has arrested the accused.

Faridabad's Women's Police Station Central has arrested an accused in the case of rape and blackmailing a girl.

Police said that the name of the arrested accused is Atul Kumar (22), who is a resident of Iqbalpur village of Hathras, UP.

He was currently living in Krishna Colony of Faridabad. 

Police told that the accused is a manager in a cafe.

On January 12, a case was registered against Atul Kumar in the Women's Police Station Central under sections of rape.

The accused made illegal relations with the girl on the pretext of marriage and was blackmailing her by threatening to make her obscene photos and videos viral on the Internet. 

On the complaint of the girl, a police team was formed under the leadership of ASI Ajay and Sarita to nab the accused, who nabbed the accused Atul yesterday from Blueberry Cafe, World Seat, Sector 79, Faridabad. 

Police inquiry revealed that Atul had befriended the victim girl on Instagram.

Later, the accused started conversing with her and tricked her into marrying him by trapping her in his love.

He established physical relations with her in October 2022.

After this, the accused recorded the obscene video of the girl from his phone and took her photos.

Lah later started threatening the girl to make the video and photos viral. 

The accused repeatedly raped the girl by threatening to make the video viral and also threatened to kill her if she told anyone about it.

Finally, fed up, the girl complained to the police. 

Taking quick action in the case, the police arrested the accused.

The mobile phone used in the incident has been recovered from the possession of the accused.

After the completion of the police interrogation, the accused was produced in the court and then he was sent to jail.
