during the report on the work done by the cabinet, made in an open meeting of the Council of Ministers.

Donev noted that the political forces wanted to present and have presented the progress achieved by the government in joining the Schengen area as a failure, but "their attempts have failed".

He noted that he relies on the continuity of the cabinet's actions by the next, regular government.

Regarding inflation, Donev explained that in order to slow down its growth, the government has made significant efforts to lower fuel prices.

Ministers are continuing negotiations with large retail chains to control the prices of basic food products, added the prime minister, quoted by BTA.

According to him, every citizen measures inflation according to food prices and their quality of life.

Donev also commented on "one of the most important tasks assigned to the caretaker government by President Rumen Radev" - dealing with the inherited crises: energy, inflation growth, migrant pressure.

One of the most severe was the energy crisis, which, in order to be controlled, an interdepartmental crisis headquarters was created, chaired by Deputy Prime Minister Hristo Alexiev.

Accusations were hurled at us for our achievements in this sector.

We have not given up on thinking about solutions to make people's incomes catch up with inflation, said Donev.

Regarding the control of the crisis with the migrant flow, Donev emphasized that its successful control is due to the good interaction between the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Regional Development.

"Sewer networks became visible thanks to the systematic work of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with all the efforts it made to counteract this", stated Galab Donev
