On the eve of Ramstein, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov, told what proposals and goals Ukraine is going to the meeting of this club with.

He named three key areas that will be discussed.

"The number one priority is air defense. We already receive modern air defense systems - Patriot, NASAMS, IRIS-T, Crotale. But we need more of them. We need to protect every city. The second direction is the preparation of resources and reserves to continue the deoccupation of our lands. And for this, comprehensive provision of our defense forces with heavy equipment is required - tanks, armored vehicles, guns, ammunition for guns and everything else. Our General Staff plans various types of operations, and for this they clearly know what and how much they need. This is what we we will talk to our partners so that they clearly understand what exactly we need and can provide it," the minister said.

According to Reznikov, the issue of the systematic supply of ammunition, as well as the repair and maintenance of equipment, will also be raised.

"The war is going on - no iron can withstand it. Only the Ukrainian character and soul can withstand its war, but iron cannot. It must be repaired, serviced. We will raise the issue of the production of spare parts and other things. If we accumulate the resources of our partners, and until the Ramstein club includes more than 50 countries, so with such a resource we will definitely beat the Russian Federation," the minister said.

On the eve of the upcoming summit in Ramstein, which will take place on January 20, Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov will meet with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

The meeting will be held by the head of the Ministry of Defense of the United States, Lloyd Austin.

Earlier, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, said that Western countries need to increase military support for Ukraine to fight the military aggression of the Russian Federation.

"I really hope that in Ramstein ... there will be a big step forward," von der Leyen said.

Ursula von der Leyen confirmed that the EU is preparing the tenth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation.

According to the official, the new restrictions are designed to "close loopholes".

According to the Reuters publication of February 13, a new package of sanctions against Russia may be prepared before the first anniversary of the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war — February 24.

And German Chancellor Olaf Scholz once again stated that his country would be

able to supply Leopard tanks to Ukraine

only in a coalition with other European countries.
