A commemorative ceremony called "January 20 - Chronicle of Honor and Heroism of our History" was held in Tehran.

APA was informed about this by the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Iran.

At the ceremony organized in the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Islamic Republic of Iran in connection with the National Day of Mourning on January 20, attended by the Iranian public and Azerbaijani citizens living in Tehran, the dear memory of our martyrs was commemorated with a minute of silence and the verses that built up their souls were read, and speeches were made on the importance of this day of sadness and pride. .

Ali Alizadeh, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Iran, spoke at the ceremony and said that the events of January 20 are forever recorded in the memory of the Azerbaijani people, and that it is a history that demonstrates the struggle, inflexibility, and pride of the Azerbaijani people.

Ambassador Ali Alizadeh noted that the purpose of this massacre, which was carried out at that time, was to drag the country into conflicts by giving part of the Azerbaijani lands to Armenia and to suppress the freedom struggle of the Azerbaijani people who stood up for their independence.

The ambassador noted that it was possible to prevent or reduce the scale of the massacre at that time, but the leadership of Azerbaijan at that time not only prevented the killing of our innocent people, but even tried to hide the true scale and nature of January 20 from the international community, and to cover up this war crime at that time. .

Ali Alizade stated that it was due to the determination of the great leader Heydar Aliyev that this massacre was brought to the attention of the world community as it was, and he emphasized that the Azerbaijan Parliament later gave a political and legal assessment to this incident.

Ambassador, the struggle, unity and inflexibility of the Azerbaijani people, which was once again proven in the history of modern Azerbaijan by the events of January 20, 30 years later, with the determination and wise leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander, our glorious army has once again confirmed the liberation of our occupied lands from occupation and the martyrdom of our martyrs. He also pointed out that it made his soul happy.

Ali Alizade stated that Azerbaijan re-wrote its name of independence in history at the expense of its martyrs, brave sons and daughters, and said that with this independence, relations and relations between the peoples of Azerbaijan and Iran have been re-established.

The ambassador prayed for God's mercy to all our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the independence of Azerbaijan and the territorial integrity of our country.

Ayyub Daneshvar, the honored cultural worker of Iran, who is known in Azerbaijan for the production of the films "Khoja" and "Bloody January", spoke about the unfair position of the Soviet leadership against the people of Azerbaijan for 70 years.

He emphasized that while working on the filming of these films, he met dozens of witnesses of the events of January 20, listened to them, and even looked at some military equipment used by the Soviet army at that time and was horrified, trying to portray the pain of the Azerbaijani people in the films.

His right and right,

The event continued with the screening of a short film and a feature video about the events of January 20, as well as a donation table opened in memory of the martyrs.
