In Russia, the level of public support for the war is increasing, and citizens can endure a new wave of

mobilization

into the ranks of the Russian Armed Forces.

This was written by The Wall Street Journal, referring to the data of a closed poll of the Russian Public Opinion Foundation.

Journalists recall that in September, when Russian President Vladimir Putin issued a decree on partial mobilization, the level of public support for the war fell to 34%.

Already in November, when the conscription into the ranks of the Russian troops was officially completed, this indicator increased again to 80%.

In a comment to journalists, a former official of the Kremlin suggested that the Russians will "endure" another wave of mobilization, during which several hundred thousand soldiers may be drafted into the Russian Armed Forces.

A former employee of the presidential administration argued a similar opinion based on the results of closed internal polls, which were conducted at the request of the authorities.

The former head of the independent Analytical Levada Center, Lev Gudkov, also confirmed that the Russians began to be more loyal to the full-scale war and the deaths of tens of thousands of people in Ukraine.

According to him, the propaganda machine reduces the consequences of the armed conflict.

"At the everyday level, the war currently does not cause strong anxiety and objections among Russians," Hudkov added, commenting on the mood in Russian society.

We will remind you that the so-called partial mobilization

continues in the Russian Federation

, where they are preparing for a new wave.

ISW analysts point out that, according to the General Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine, Russia is beginning to

mobilize

older men more actively, as well as migrants from the countries of the former Soviet Union.

Military expert Oleg Zhdanov said that preparations for a new

mobilization are in full swing in Russia,

and the FSB has issued an order prohibiting debtors from crossing the border.
