KMT Chairman Zhu Lilun met with US Senator Yang En yesterday.

[Reporter Shi Xiaoguang/Taipei Report] Kuomintang Chairman Zhu Lilun met with US Senator Todd Young and his defense and foreign affairs staff team at the Central Party Headquarters yesterday. The two sides exchanged in-depth views on many issues.

The KMT pointed out that the talks first discussed the issue of the global semiconductor industry and supply chain. Zhu Lilun said that TSMC was planned and established during the KMT’s ruling period. The two sides also discussed my country’s national defense and military service reform, cross-strait relations, Taiwan-US relations, and the past and future. Regarding international friends' visits to Taiwan and other related issues, Zhu Lilun also thanked Yang En for his long-term support and friendship to our country, and looked forward to continuing to work together for regional peace and stability in the future.

The Kuomintang stated that in addition to Yang En, the visiting guests also included its national security adviser Brandt Anderson, chief of staff John Connell, army major bodyguard officer Khalilah Thomas, American Institute in Taiwan political director Richard Jao and American Institute in Taiwan political officer Kevin Kallmyer.
