[Central News Agency] The US Treasury Department issued a statement today stating that Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen had a "constructive" discussion with Chinese Vice Premier Liu He today and that Yellen will visit China soon.

Yellen and Liu held their first meeting in Zurich, Switzerland, as the United States and China seek to strengthen ties and ease tensions, AFP reported.

The U.S. Treasury Department said the interview between Yellen and Liu He was "candid, substantive and constructive."
