Oleg Gumenyk, former mayor of Vladivostok, Russia, was arrested by the Lenin District Court.

APA reports that the Russian media reported on this.

He was sentenced to 16.5 years in prison for accepting bribes.

Also, the former mayor was fined 150 million rubles (3 million 705 thousand manats).

In December, the prosecutor asked the court to sentence Oleg Gumenyuk to 17 years in prison and fine him 150 million rubles in the bribery case.

It should be recalled that in 2021, the Vladivostok City Council made a decision to fire Gumenyuk.

Later, the investigation seized his property.
