The President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, called on Ukraine's allies to increase military aid for it and noted that within "several months or weeks" a decisive moment in the war will come.

Duda made his statement at the World Economic Forum in Davos on January 18, Interfax-Ukraine reports.

"I'm afraid that right now, maybe within a few months, maybe weeks, there will be a decisive moment in this war. And

this moment will give an answer to the question: will Ukraine survive or not

," the Polish president said.

He emphasized that Ukraine still lacks weapons received from allies.

After all, at the same time, the Russian army is accumulating strength and is probably preparing for a new offensive.

Therefore, Duda emphasized that the Ukrainian army must be provided with modern tanks and missiles.

"That is why it is critically important at the moment to

send additional military support

," the Polish leader said.

The politician added that Ukrainians "want to be members of the EU, members of NATO, but first of all they want to survive," so "we need to help them."

We will remind, the head of the GUR of the Ministry of Defense, Kyrylo Budanov, announced a major counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine along the entire front in the spring.

At the same time, intelligence data indicate that Russia is preparing a new offensive against Ukraine in winter and spring.

Therefore, both for defense and counteroffensive, the Ukrainian Defense Forces need more weapons and equipment, including modern Western tanks.

Today, Poland and Great Britain announced their decision to transfer modern tanks to Ukraine - approximately 14 vehicles each.

However, Ukraine needs a tank brigade of such equipment, according to the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dmytro Kuleba.

That is, it may be about the need for 93 tanks.
