Although many citizens will return to their hometowns, the transportation services in Taichung City will not close. The city bus will be open from January 21 (New Year’s Eve) to January 27 (the sixth day of the new year) ) will adjust the departure frequency, but the first and last buses will still depart at the original approved holiday time, and some urban bus routes that pass through important stations on railways and highways will operate additional services based on the number of passengers, starting on January 28 (the seventh day of the month) The original service frequency is fully restored, and the Xiaohuang bus route and Lishan Xingfu bus are also open all year round.

Ye Zhaofu, director of the Transportation Bureau, said that in order to allow bus drivers to reunite with their families during the festival, the bus frequency in urban areas will be reduced by half on January 21 (New Year’s Eve). Adjust the departure frequency according to the operating needs of each route, and some urban bus routes that pass through scenic recreation areas and important railway stations will also operate additional services based on the number of passengers.
