Explosions could be heard on the northern outskirts of
Kyiv in
the morning of January 17.
They do not pose a threat and are related to the elimination of explosive objects.
The Kyiv City Military Administration informs about this.
Citizens are urged to remain calm and to go to shelters immediately in the event of an air raid.
"The sounds of explosions on the northern outskirts of Kyiv are related to the liquidation of explosive objects. Today, January 17, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Vyshgorod district, the VNP will be destroyed. Therefore, in some communities of the region, the sounds of explosions may be heard," the message reads. .
It will be recalled that on the morning of January 14, Russian troops shelled Kyiv, in particular,
with S-400 surface-to-air missiles (S-300 modification).
Yuriy Ignat, the spokesman of the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, explained that Russia is deliberately using C-300 C-400 anti-aircraft missiles against Ukraine, knowing their inaccuracy and the fact that
air defense is difficult to shoot them down.
According to him, the threat of Russian S-300 missile strikes in Kyiv remains.
