As Variety writes, the unpleasant incident happened on December 29 last year.

However, it became known only this week.

In general, the drone was supposed to shoot the actor in close-up.

However, the drone suddenly malfunctioned and exploded right next to Kai.

Eyewitnesses said that the fragments of the drone flew into the actor, causing serious injuries to his face.

The celebrity was immediately hospitalized.

According to the actor's manager, he received about 30 stitches on his face.

However, the film's producers told a different version in a commentary to Variety.

They admitted that there really was a drone emergency.

However, they assured that the drone did not explode, and all safety rules were followed on the set.

"Filming took place in compliance with safety regulations. The drone's propeller blades were also protected by a protective layer, and there was no explosion. We are deeply sorry for what happened to Ko. Kai was given immediate medical attention. The production team is conducting an investigation," the comment reads.

Meanwhile, Netflix has yet to comment on Variety's request.
