CBI has taken major action against retired 89 batch officer Pramod Kumar Jaina from Indian Railways in disproportionate assets case.

CBI recovered Rs 1.57 crore, 17 kg jewelery (Rs 8 crore) from Bhubaneswar in raids.

Along with this, documents of many property plots have been recovered.

Pramod Kumar Jaina used to be the Chief Operation Manager of East Coast Railway.

According to CBI sources, Pramod created assets worth Rs 1,92,21,405, which is 59.09 percent more than his income.

On January 3, an FIR was registered against Pramod Kumar, in which it was told that in 2005 his assets were 4,54,412 including bank balance and plots.

Jaina joined Railways in 1987.

According to the CBI, from January 1, 2005 to March 31, 2020, this property was created illegally.
