The threat of strikes by Russian S-300 missiles in Kyiv remains.

This was announced by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Yuriy Ignat, on January 16 on the telethon "Edyny Novyny".

"These missiles fly from a long distance and hit.

The greater the range, the greater the inaccuracy.

This principle was applied by the Russian military in Kyiv," said Ignat.

The spokesman of the Air Force Command of Ukraine also commented on the latest shelling carried out by the Russian Armed Forces on the Ukrainian capital.

"This air defense system could have been pulled up to the border from the north of the country in advance, the preparation was at night.

The speed of the S-400 missile is over 4,000 km/h, the S-300 is over 3,000 km/h.

There was shelling with precisely these missiles - S400 or S300.

It was 1-2 minutes from the launch to the explosions," he said.

Ignat also added that the threat of a second attack on Kyiv by S-300 or S-400 class missiles remains.

"But in the future, certain steps will be taken regarding the northern direction to avoid this," the spokesman added.

It will be recalled that Yurvy Ignat previously stated that a repetition of the Russian amphibious operation on the outskirts of Kyiv is currently impossible.
