The President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the leader of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, had a telephone conversation.

This was reported by the pro-Kremlin publication TASS.

  • Putin and Erdogan discussed the implementation of the grain agreement;

  • the leaders of the countries confirmed the mood for cooperation in energy, including the supply of Russian gas and the creation of a gas hub;

  • Putin and Erdogan noted the importance of the work of the Russian Federation, Turkey and Iran within the framework of the Astana process of promoting the Syrian settlement.

In addition, the Kremlin dictator complained to Erdogan about the allegedly "destructive line of the Kyiv regime, which has bet on the intensification of hostilities."

Erdogan, in a conversation with Putin, according to the propaganda publication TASS, confirmed Turkey's readiness to act as a mediator in "the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis.

In addition, Erdogan discussed with Putin specific steps for processing grain from the Russian Federation in Turkey and supplying it to African countries.

It will be recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey announced that they support the "peace formula" proposed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi in November 2022.
