Viktor Medvedchuk

, a former parliamentarian and Putin's best man,

wrote an article in which he stated that the West is to blame for the war waged by Russia against Ukraine and that Russia does not consider itself an enemy of the West.

The article was published in the propaganda publication "Izvestia".

Thus, Medvedchuk accused Europe and the USA of "not wanting peace in Ukraine" and said that the world should take into account Russia's interests.

"Now there are only two ways out: to slide into a world war and a nuclear conflict or to start the detente process again, for which the interests of all parties must be taken into account. But for this, it is necessary to politically recognize that Russia has interests that must be taken into account in the construction of a new detente." - he writes..

He also called on pro-Russian politicians to create a "political movement" in Ukraine.

The ex-Nardep stated that the war can also be "localized and resolved", and that "no peace in Ukraine is wanted" and "the majority of American and European politicians".

Medvedchuk is also confused by military aid to Ukraine, in particular the United States.

"Here, US President Biden disavows the direct participation of the American military in the conflict, but at the same time reports that the United States supplies billions of dollars worth of weapons there. If the billions go to the military needs of Ukraine, then it turns out that Ukrainian interests are extremely important for the US," he writes. ex-national deputy
