Legislator Jiang Qichen said that the Fengyuan-Tanzi section of National Highway No. 4 is a long-awaited major project, especially after the merger of counties and cities. The key to truly stitching together the original county district and the old urban area is an important piece of the puzzle that allows the complete integration of the Greater Taichung Expressway network loop.

Minister of Transport Wang Guocai attended the opening ceremony of National Highway No. 4 Fengyuantanzi Section and said that the opening of National Highway No. 4 Fengtan Section means that the entire Taichung Ring Road has become very complete. There are expressways and Taichung Line 74 outside, and Taichung 74 Ring Road on the internal network.

Because the road is located in a mountainous area, the project is not easy. In addition, it is connected to cultural sites and the Sanyi and Chelongpu faults. The construction team spent a lot of effort during the rescue process and opened to traffic in sections. It is of great significance to open the entire line to traffic now. Relying on National Highway No. 1, after the opening of traffic, traffic can be diverted early through National Highway No. 4, improving the congestion situation of National Highway 1 and providing more choices for passers-by.
