Many people buy frozen and packaged New Year vegetables for a reunion, but often the actual products received are inconsistent with the advertisements, and consumer disputes arise because of this. The Municipal Legal Affairs Bureau invited 3 Niancai vendors to restore the advertising icons on the spot, and appealed to consumers to keep their eyes open to confirm whether the weight, quantity and other labels on the packaging and the shelf life are in line with the advertisements, so that they can eat with peace of mind and security.

Li Dapeng, chief consumer protection officer of the city government, said that in fact, regardless of online or physical purchases of New Year’s food, the most common dispute is "pictures and texts do not match", accounting for about 30 to 40% of the overall complaints. There are fillings in the urn, and the quantity and size of fish and shrimp will be highly inspected by consumers.

The Legal Affairs Bureau invited 3 local vendors to "restore" the products on the spot, and found that the cooking method and presentation will greatly affect the finished dishes, and reminded the vendors to explain more carefully in the future to avoid disputes.

The Legal Affairs Bureau also reminded the industry that if the food packaging is false or easily misunderstood, a maximum fine of 4 million yuan can be imposed.
