On Monday, January 16, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held talks with the 


Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Mark Rutte.

This was already the third conversation between the leaders of the two countries in the last four weeks.

In the traditional evening address, the Ukrainian president announced the details of the negotiations. 

Zelensky emphasized that the Dutch prime minister is "one of those who help Ukraine the most, in particular in the matter of justice", obviously referring to Mark Rutte's position on punishing Russian war criminals.

"Today we discussed protection against Russian missiles and Iranian drones - we are doing everything to strengthen our air defense as much as possible. And it is very important that this conversation of ours took place on the eve of the visit of the Prime Minister of the Netherlands to the United States," the Ukrainian president emphasized. hinting that the result of this visit could be the strengthening of Ukrainian air defense thanks to the cooperation of Western partners. 

Zelensky expressed gratitude to Mark Rutte and all Dutch people "for their constant support and clear understanding that Ukrainians must defeat Russian aggression."

We will remind you that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg believes that it is necessary to provide Ukraine with the weapons it needs for victory, and the risk of Russia using nuclear weapons is low.
