The message indicates that the explosion occurred on Sunday in a church in the town of Kasindi, which lies on the border with Uganda. 

A spokesman for the DRC's armed forces in North Kivu province said an improvised explosive device had detonated in the church.

It is reported that at least ten people died, and about forty others were injured.

The Congolese government reacted and strongly condemned the terrorist attack, which may have involved militants from the Islamist group United Democratic Forces.
