President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting with the current Chairman of the OSCE, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Buyar Osmani during his visit to Kyiv.

The head of state said this during his traditional video address.

During the meeting, Zelenskyi expressed hope that during the Macedonian presidency, the OSCE will use all possible means to exert pressure on Russia.

First of all, with the aim of ending human rights violations in the occupied territories.

"We demand increased attention of the OSCE to two key problems:

the forced deportation of women and children

to the territory of the Russian Federation and

the conditions of detention of Ukrainian prisoners of war

. These are very important things for us," the head of state emphasized.

In the evening address, Zelensky said that he spoke with the head of the OSCE about how to make the organization effective.

In his opinion, this is one of the international organizations that

have significant potential

, "but for various reasons, in critical situations, they have a large

deficit of concrete actions, a large deficit of determination

."

"The OSCE can significantly increase attention and act accordingly on the deportation of our people from the occupied territory to Russia. And on the situation with Ukrainian prisoners. No international organization has yet found the strength to gain access to the places of detention of our prisoners on the territory of Russia. This has be corrected. I hope that the chairmanship of North Macedonia in the OSCE will contribute to this," the president concluded.

Earlier, there was information that the Russians could be preparing a provocation on the territory of Ukraine with cars with OSCE markings.

According to journalist Andrii Tsaplienko, SUVs with OSCE markings were spotted on the Ukrainian-Russian border.

In turn, the OSCE stated that neither its representatives nor its cars are currently in Donbas.
