The Siberian city known as the coldest region on earth is witnessing severe cold this year.

In the city of Yakutsk, the temperature reached minus 50 degrees Celsius this week.

According to news agency Reuters, residents of the mining town located 5,000 km east of Moscow on the permafrost of the Russian Far East are suffering from extreme cold this year.
