Military expert Oleg Zhdanov told about this in an interview with the Obozrevatel publication.

According to him, the loss of the settlement for the Russians will mean the collapse of the front in the Luhansk region.

Instead, the Armed Forces have the opportunity to surround the enemy group in the Soledar region of Donetsk region.

"From Kreminnaya, we can go east, to Starobilsk - and this is a direct road to Luhansk," the expert says.

Also, Zhdanov stressed, it is from Kreminnaya that the Ukrainian defenders will be able to go further - to Severodonetsk and Lysychansk.

Under such conditions, the Bakhmut direction will be in a half ring, the military expert explained.

"If we take Kreminna and move on to Severodonetsk, there will be a threat of encirclement of the Russian troops. By the way, in the Kreminna area, the Russian occupation forces have thrown into battle the best they have to date - landing units. There they are trying to use the tactics of a counter-attack. That is , we attack and they attack," concluded Oleg Zhdanov.
