Turkish President Recep Erdogan

Recep Tayyip Erdogan - Turkish politician and prime minister.

Born on February 26, 1954 in Istanbul. He has filed a criminal complaint in connection with a demonstration against him by supporters of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Sweden, Turkish private television CNN-Turk reported.

This was reported by the president's lawyer Hussein Ayden.

In a statement on his social media account, Ayden said a complaint had been filed with the Ankara General Prosecutor's Office requesting an investigation be launched against the perpetrators of the demonstration in which a dummy of President Erdogan was hung upside down outside Stockholm City Hall.

According to the lawyer, the reason for the appeal is "the criminal actions directed against our president during demonstrations in Stockholm, which are supposed to be organized by the terrorist organization PKK".

Over 30 PKK and Islamic State suspects have been captured in Turkey

Turkey summoned Sweden's ambassador yesterday to express its displeasure after a mannequin depicting Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was hung outside Stockholm City Hall.

Turkish officials described the case as "terrorist propaganda" by supporters of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) and other Kurdish militant groups, BTA notes.
