In Russia, the first wave of mobilization continues, although it is happening at a hidden pace.

"Mobics" are the last remaining weapons of President Vladimir Putin in the war against Ukraine.

Russian publicist and oppositionist Andriy Piontkovskyi told about this in an interview with TSN.ua.

He noted that Putin does not need to announce a new wave of mobilization, because he actually did not cancel the first one.

"He does not need to announce anything.

He did not cancel his decree

. They said: "We are canceling the mobilization" and Putin was asked: "Did you sign it?

- But why sign?

Everything is clear anyway." The mobilization is going on, it is going quite covertly. At any moment, it can become more active. In particular, what has been announced in recent days: they are not limited only to these "reservists" (reserve soldiers - ed.

) they want to capture conscripts with the widest possible net

," Piontkovskyi said.

In this context, he drew attention to the fact that in the Russian Federation the limits of the conscription age were "drastically" expanded.

It used to be 18 to 21 years old, but now it is 18 to 30 years old.

The oppositionist added that this is a huge reserve for mobilization.

The publicist also explained why mobilization is Putin's last weapon.

"And they have no other cards left. When they explained to Putin what they would do to him personally if he tried to use nuclear weapons in Ukraine, they (in Russia - ed.) openly stated that "first, we nuclear weapons were never planned, it is impossible.

But we don't need it, we will destroy the Ukrainian infrastructure by conventional means anyway." And on December 10, they started this program to destroy Ukraine. But it also failed. They are running out of missiles, but the "mobikes" are not running out. That is

, nuclear and conventional the weapons did not work, the dictator's last weapon, the Führer

's last argument remained," Piontkovsky believes.

He noted that according to official data, there are 25 million conscripts in the Russian Federation

"Here, grab as much as you want. You have two months until the moment when Ukraine will have a greater advantage in armaments. Now, leave the mobs. This is what they (in the Russian Federation - ed.) will be doing in the near future," - predicts the opposition.

We will remind you that on January 15, a new wave of mobilization may be announced in Russia, according to Ukrainian intelligence data.

The aggressor country plans to recruit up to 500,000 mobs. The goal of the aggressor country is to recruit up to 500,000 new mobs in addition to the 300,000 recruited in the first wave. It is expected that these fighters will attack Donetsk region, Kharkiv region and maybe in Zaporozhye.

Subsequently, Ukrainian intelligence reported that from January 9, Russia restricted the departure of conscripts from the country, in particular those with limited fitness for service.
