Today, January 12, is not the most difficult day for electricity supply due to the cold weather.

This was stated by the CEO of Yasno Serhiy Kovalenko.

Is there any temperature that can be critically threatening for the energy system of Ukraine?

"It cannot be said that if it is, conditionally, -20° outside, the system will work. The generation will continue to work, electricity will be produced and supplied as much as is possible at a specific moment in time," Kovalenko noted.

According to him, in this case, the available amount of electricity may not be enough for the entire demand.

That is, people will receive electricity, but with great restrictions.

It should be constantly kept in mind until winter is over, urged the CEO of Yasno.

Should we expect a sharp improvement in the situation with warming?

"I think you can count on improvement, but it will definitely not be drastic. It takes a lot of time and resources to completely restore the power system. At the very least, the generation that is currently under repair should be restored. I remind you of everyone's responsibility, because we are all participants in the power system in one way or another So let's hold on," Kovalenko concluded.

According to forecasters, warming is expected in Ukraine in the coming days.

Forecaster Natalya Didenko said that the peak of warming in Kyiv will be on Vodokhreshche, January 19.

The next cooling will come approximately from January 23-24.

We will remind that emergency blackouts were applied in nine regions on January 12.

In particular, the situation with electricity in Kyiv has become more complicated due to the cold weather.
