"If the Armenian side is interested in solving the problem, it should continue working together with Russia and Azerbaijan."

According to APA's Moscow correspondent, the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, said this at a briefing held today.

He recalled that the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed to hold a tripartite meeting in Moscow on December 23 last year:

"However, it was the Armenian leadership that refused the foreign minister's visit to Moscow at the last moment.

In fact, this became an obstacle to discuss not only the peace agreement, but also other important issues related to the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, including the situation in the Lachin Corridor.

If the Armenian partners are really interested in solving the mentioned problems, they should continue working together.

The key words here are "together" and "work".

As I have already said, Russia's proposal to provide a platform for Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty negotiations remains valid.

Our mediation capabilities are always at the disposal of the parties," the Russian MFA spokesman added.
