Civil protest after court decision.

Residents of the capital's Lyulin district are against the house arrest of a man accused of murder.

An appeals court has reduced the most severe remand, a year after it was imposed on him.

After an investigation, it becomes clear that the reason is the refusal of the defendant's lawyer to familiarize himself with the materials, as well as the submitted request for the prosecutor's recusal.

Thus, the case cannot go to court.

More than four examinations were ordered in the case, more than 30 persons were questioned.

Denis al-Ghazi's lawyer is Miroslav Hristov.

He is also the lawyer of Georgi Semerdzhiev, the defendant for the serious accident on the capital's Cherni vrah boulevard.

According to the state prosecution, they cannot take the case to court because the prosecutor's recusal has been requested.

"The accused refused to sign the accusation of the more serious qualification in the presence of the backup defense attorney and this was certified by the signature of two witnesses.

Subsequently, the efforts of the supervising prosecutor to close the investigation in a short period of time provoked a new approach of the defense, namely to file applications requesting the recusal of the supervising prosecutor," explains Desislava Petrova from the SGP to BTV.

Denis al-Ghazi was charged with the murder of Ilian Iliev last year after a dispute over noise caused by the dawn of a child's birth.

At first, the man was hiding, but then he turned himself in to the police.

According to his defender, he was provoked and beaten by those present at the gathering.

According to records, the 23-year-old man was also convicted of drug possession.
