Voting for new names for several streets and metro stations in Kyiv has ended in the "Kyiv Digital" application.

Another electronic vote on de-Russification and decolonization of Kyiv toponymy lasted from January 4 to January 11, inclusive.

Users of the service supported four out of five proposals put to the vote.

In particular, they voted to rename the metro station "Friendship of Peoples" to "Zvirynetska" (76% in favor), and "Lev Tolstoy Square" to "Ukrainian Heroes Square" (83% in favor).

At the same time, Kyivans supported the renaming of Leo Tolstoy Street in honor of Hetman Pavel Skoropadskyi.

In order to avoid duplication of names, it was also proposed to rename Pavlo Skoropadskyi Street in the Pechersk district in honor of the former mayor of Kyiv Oleksandr Omelchenko.

Kyivites did not support this proposal, only 26% voted "for".

88% of the voting participants agreed with Perova Boulevard becoming Voskresenskiy Avenue, and Vyzvolitelev Avenue being named in honor of the Ukrainian artist and co-founder of the Ukrainian Academy of Arts, Heorhiy Narbut.

Also, 90% supported the proposal to give the future metro station, which was to be called "Prospekt Pravdy", the name "Warshavska" (the station will be located next to the Warsaw residential area).

As a reminder, in the "Kyiv Digital" application from August 2022, you can vote for electronic petitions.
