A vehicle was driven by a Turkish national and was traveling empty from Romania to Turkey after unloading goods in England and loading garlic from the Netherlands to Romania.

After a risk analysis, the truck was selected for inspection with a mobile X-ray system, where two areas of suspicion located in the cargo area were marked.

The vehicle was diverted to the hall for a physical inspection.

In the course of the inspection, in the areas marked on the mobile X-ray, four auxiliary profiles were established for the strengthening of cargo, after the dismantling of which the customs officers found cash in their interior - British and Scottish pounds in various denominations.

In total, undeclared cash was found to be £205,000 and £20,000.

The driver explained that the money was taken by a friend of his in England to transport it to Turkey, having hidden it himself in the specified places.
