[Reporter Chen Jianzhi/Taichung Report] The Dali section of the expressway on Taiwan Highway 74 has a heavy traffic flow. It connects to National Highway No. 3 and is adjacent to the industrial zone. There are frequent traffic jams and accidents. The Traffic Brigade of the Taichung City Police Department has installed AI artificial intelligence technology law enforcement equipment on the north-south direction of this road section. Since it was launched on October 1 last year, a total of 633 fines have been issued in 3 months. According to the "Road Traffic Management Penalties "Regulations" impose fines ranging from NT$3,000 to NT$6,000, and call on the public to obey traffic rules when driving.

The Traffic Brigade of Zhongshi Police Station pointed out that the statistics found that there will be 98 car accidents in 2021 on the Dali section of Taiwan Highway 74, and 66 car accidents from January to the end of September last year. At 30-33 kilometers, traffic technology equipment such as AI smart vehicle trajectory detection and license plate recognition will be installed, and it will be launched on October 1 last year. This equipment will automatically capture illegal images and report them directly. The focus of law enforcement is to cross the slot lines, and large vehicles in the inner lane.

The Jiaotong University of the Zhongshi Police Department stated that through scientific and technological law enforcement reports, statistics found that in the three months of October, November, and December, there were 559 violations of large vehicles driving on the inner lane, and 74 violations of regulations crossing the trough line. Violations of driving on the inner lane are more serious, and two violations shall be punished in accordance with Article 33, Item 1, Subparagraph 3 of the "Regulations on Road Traffic Management Penalties" and "Driving in a Lane Not Complying with the Regulations". ;Vehicles crossing the trough line and illegally driving shall be fined NT$3,000 to NT$6,000 in accordance with Article 33, Item 1, Item 12 "Driving without following signs, markings, and signs".

The Taichung City Police Department stated that the location of traffic technology enforcement has been announced on the website of the Traffic Police Brigade of the City Police Department, and warning signs have also been set up on the roads, hoping that drivers will abide by traffic rules, reduce traffic accidents and reduce traffic jams.
