"She was naked, barefoot. Disfigured beyond recognition. Thrown loose on the platform in front of the elevator. She didn't have the strength to speak, she couldn't understand anything." This is what the neighbors in block 117 in the "Hadji Dimitar" district in Sofia, who witnessed the consequences of the horrific beating there on the night of Tuesday to Wednesday, say.
After him, the rapist barricaded himself and until Wednesday at noon policemen negotiated with him to let them go, "Ofnews" writes.
Information about the incident first appeared in BNR, later the Ministry of the Interior confirmed it to BTA.
In both places, as well as in the "Ofnews" report, the emphasis was on the barricaded, and it was mentioned in passing that a woman "who is suspected of being a victim of violence" was brought out before that, writes "Darik".

"Ofnews" has photos of the beaten woman.
They are terrifying.
We won't let them go.
We can assure you that there is no doubt that there was violence.
The footage is of a disfigured and battle-worn woman, swollen beyond recognition," the media wrote.
The woman is Ukrainian, speaks very little Bulgarian.
They had a romantic relationship with the abuser.
She moved in with him about two months ago.
"She is at least the second victim of the abuser. He moved into the apartment on the eighth floor for rent not too long ago. 4 months ago he again beat and threw out another woman. We have seen him with several other women who lived there for for a short time and then they disappeared," neighbors say.
They doubt that other women also fell victim to the rapist's charms and fists.
The hitman's name is Orlin Gigov and he is a former driver at the Ministry of Internal Affairs hospital.
He has criminal records.
"When we filed the report, 25 police officers, two ambulances and a fire truck came. A psychologist also came. Not for the beaten woman, but to calm the barricaded one
," the neighbors say.
They took the Ukrainian woman away, then for 5 hours they fussed over whether to enter the apartment or to negotiate.
At first Gigov gave no signs of being in the apartment, after about 5 hours he started to negotiate.
When he came out, he had a cut on his ear.
He claimed that the Ukrainian woman attacked him and that he acted in self-defense.
The last 3 hours of the "action" were spent in jokes and teasing.
Gigov and the policemen patted each other on the shoulder and called each other "colleague".
"He explained to them that the Ukrainian woman was "from a different herd" and they were colleagues, and the policemen giggled approvingly," say the neighbors.
He also said that he has been beating her for 3 days and "at the stupid entrance there is no one to tell him "button".
Despite the information that he was detained, Gigov is at home and noisily repairing the door of his apartment.
