The Romanian economy will report a growth of 2.6 percent this year, the World Bank predicted today in its report "World Economic Prospects", Agerpress reported, BTA informed.

The estimates are lower than those presented in the previous report in June, when the international financial institution said it expected Romania's gross domestic product to grow by 3.7 percent this year.

Over 50% of Romanians are satisfied with 2022.

For 2024, the World Bank forecasts Romania's economy to grow by 4.2 percent, up from June's projected growth of 3.9 percent.

For the Central European region, which includes Romania, the World Bank forecasts economic growth of 1.1 percent this year and 2.7 percent next year, with the global economy expected to grow by 1.7 percent in 2023 .
