The main Christmas tree of Ukraine will decorate Sofia Square for exactly one month.

Previously, the main New Year's tree was dismantled before January 14 - the Old New Year.

This year they decided to make an exception - the Christmas tree will decorate the square to the Epiphany - on January 19.

We will remind that the tree of indomitability was lit on December 19, on the day of St. Nicholas. 

"This year's main Christmas tree of the country is very modest. It is decorated with a minimum number of garlands and toys. Its height is 12 meters. But this did not reduce its popularity. People go to the Christmas tree from different areas of the city and region. It has become a real symbol of our indomitability. We were asked to the Christmas tree decorated the square before the Epiphany. After January 19, we will start dismantling it," the organizers of the New Year's holiday on Sofia Square told the TSN.ua website.

That is, everyone who has not yet had time to see the main Christmas tree of the country has more than a week to come to it and admire its beauty.

"A lot of people come to the Christmas tree. Although there is no fair near it, as there was in peaceful times. People come here for something else, for the feeling of unity and indomitability that reigns on Sofia Square. The Christmas tree of indomitability was installed by patrons, no money was spent on it not a single penny from the budget", - add the organizers of the New Year's holiday.
