[Reporter Lin Minzhen/Taichung Report] Residents along Oyliao Road, Longjinli, Longjing District, Taichung City in the early days made a living by hunting the sea, mostly fishing or raising oysters. With the development of local agriculture and local construction, the traditional fishery declined. Buildings also gradually lost their original features and scenery.

Driven by the local gentry, the Longjing District Office used the exterior walls of the houses next to the Fengtian Temple, a local religious center, to paint them with the theme of "fishing port and oyster village scenery", becoming a new highlight of the community.

The Longjing District Office stated that the painted fence is the focus of street beautification. With the promotion of coordination by Lin Hongying, chairman of the Taichung Community Welfare Promotion Association, and the assistance of city councilor Lin Mengling in securing funds, the office repainted the original mottled cement-colored fence and painted it out. Local characteristics, beautification of the surrounding environment, and the close relationship between the sea people and the fishing port are painted on the wall, including the life of the sea people, the joy of harvest and the seaside scenery of the fishing port.

The walls of residential houses next to Fengtian Temple in Longjing District, Taichung City have recently been painted with the theme of "fishing port and oyster village scenery".
