At official meetings 10 years ago, Russian dictator Putin made a pleasant impression.

Abbas Gallyamov, a Russian political scientist and Putin's former speechwriter in 2008-2010, told about this in an interview with TSN.ua.

"Putin was not rude, but there was no need for it. Putin's authority was so unshakable that no one argued with him. But he tried not to put pressure on people with his authority. Putin rather tried to listen to his interlocutors, recognized that they could better understand on a certain topic than he himself. He didn't try to portray himself as a "know-it-all", unlike Medvedev. He asked adequate questions, was very friendly. I never saw that there was a negative atmosphere in Putin's meetings. Of course, people understood that he is the president, but he did not cultivate any kind of flattery. Praise and glorification appeared recently. Then it seemed unheard of," Gallyamov noted.

Earlier, Abbas Gallyamov said that Putin is losing self-control when it comes to Ukraine, and his emotions are beginning to dominate him.

According to Gallyamov, the Kremlin elites understand that defeat in the war is inevitable, and therefore they are frantically looking for options to prevent riots in Russia itself.

One of the options is the so-called "successor operation".
