, as of 10:00 a.m. on January 11, electricity consumption increased due to a drop in temperature in the east and in the center of the country.

That is why the power deficit has increased.

This was reported in the press service of NEC "Ukrenergo".

It is noted that consumption limits have been set for all regions.

They operate around the clock - from 00:00 to 24:00.

"As early as 7:00 a.m. in Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions, the limits were critically exceeded, as a result of which emergency shutdowns were applied to maintain the stable operation of the power system," the company emphasizes.

Also, in some areas, strong winds and bad weather damaged the networks of distribution system operators.

Currently, electricians are carrying out repair work.

On the other hand, the situation with electricity supply remains difficult in the frontline regions in the east and south of the country.

The reason is significant damage to power grids as a result of hostilities.

As a reminder, due to worsening weather conditions, DTEK announced limits

on electricity consumption not only during the day, but also at night.

In particular, due to the decrease in temperature, electricity consumption increases.
