A worker died in an occupational accident in Plovdiv, the Ministry of the Interior reports.

The accident happened yesterday morning at a construction site in the Trakia residential area.

A man fell into an open shaft in Sofia

The man, who was over 50 years old, fell from the fifth floor of the construction site.

He was taken to hospital but died.

The case is being investigated by the Labor Inspectorate in Plovdiv.
