A fire broke out in the migrant workers' dormitory in Dajia.

[Reporter Zhang Xuanzhe/Taichung Report] An electric bicycle in front of a foreign labor dormitory in Dajia District, Taichung City suddenly caught fire late last night. The fire spread rapidly and burned 10 bicycles and motorcycles. The workers' feet were burned when they escaped, and the five migrant workers suffered minor choking injuries. Fortunately, no major casualties were caused. The detailed cause of the fire is yet to be clarified by fire department personnel.

The Taichung City Fire Department pointed out that at 11:39 last night, it was reported that a locomotive caught fire in front of the residence on Cide Road, Dajia District, and dispatched the Young Lions, Dajia, Waipu Squads and the Fifth Brigade, dispatched 11 fire trucks and ambulances 4 vehicles and 33 personnel. Yang Yuxiang, the leader of the Young Lions Division, led the team to rescue, and Wang Minghui, the leader of the Fifth Brigade, went to command.

As many migrant workers had fallen asleep, everyone escaped after hearing the news. A 30-year-old female migrant worker suffered 2-degree 18% burns on her feet when she escaped. She was sent to Dajia Guangtian Hospital for treatment. This building is a 3-story rental suite. The 4th floor is a dormitory for foreign workers covered with iron sheets. The electric bicycles at the gate are suspected to be on fire. A total of 8 electric bicycles and 2 motorcycles were burned.
