Next week, the Ukrainian military will begin training on the Patriot anti-missile system in the United States.

This was reported by two unnamed American officials familiar with the situation, reports CNN.

According to the publication's sources, the training program will take place at Fort Sill in Oklahoma, where the US conducts its own training on the operation and maintenance of the air defense system.

Fort Sill is one of four Army basic training sites and a training ground for the Field Artillery School, which trains service members.

According to Laura Cooper, Deputy Assistant to the Minister of Defense for Russia, Ukraine and Eurasia, it is expected that the training of the Ukrainian military will last several months, however, there is no exact date for the completion of the training.
