General

Jens Stoltenberg believes that we should be prepared for a long war, which Russia started on February 24, 2022 in Ukraine.

He stated this during a briefing on January 10.

"We must be ready for a long war, we must continue to support Ukraine, and it is extremely important to emphasize that NATO and the EU are united in supporting Ukraine," NATO Secretary General said.

According to Stoltenberg, the Alliance should not underestimate Moscow.

Currently, the Secretary General emphasized, there are no signs that the Russian president-dictator Vladimir Putin has abandoned his goals.

"They (Russia - Ed.) continue to mobilize, work on obtaining additional equipment and machinery. And there are no signs that President Putin has changed the goal of the brutal war against Ukraine," he said.

It will be recalled that earlier Jens Stoltenberg stated that

relations between NATO and Russia will remain tense

even after the end of the war in Ukraine.

According to him, the security situation in Europe has changed forever, and this should be recognized.
