For Russia, it is not a problem to mobilize 500,000 people, or even several million, but to provide them there will be a lack of equipment, weapons, and even ammunition.

This opinion was expressed by military analyst, veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Oleksiy Hetman in an interview with TSN.ua.

"They can mobilize half a million, and a million, and even

two or three million people.

If there is a general mobilization, they will catch everyone wherever possible, throughout Russia. They need several months for this. I think that by March they will can do. This is not the main thing here. The main thing is

that they do not have and have nowhere to get equipment

- namely armored personnel carriers and BMPs, guns, to provide these people with the appropriate amount of equipment and even ammunition," the analyst pointed out.

He added that Russia needs approximately 7,000 tanks

to support 500,000 mobilized troops

, and it simply does not have such a quantity.

"In order to provide such a number of people with only tanks, the industry of the Russian Federation needs to work for about 10 years, with heavy equipment - about 20 years. They do not have such a number of weapons in strategic storage warehouses, because there are more than 10 thousand tanks, but

they can only bring them into order no more than three thousand,

which is not enough to provide for 500 thousand people. To provide them, approximately 7 thousand tanks are needed, not taking into account other equipment," Hetman assessed.

"These 500,000 are approximately 250 motorized rifle regiments, and you can see how many tanks and armored vehicles they need. This is approximately 6-7,000 tanks and

about 30,000 armored vehicles

. They simply don't have that," the Ukrainian veteran added.

He also expressed the opinion that the occupiers will continue to throw their mobilized to the front without proper training and support, as is currently happening under Soledar and Bakhmut.

"This can be compared to what Stalin did. He created the so-called

black infantry, black jackets

- they were called differently. People were even given sticks and without equipment civilians were simply sent to slaughter, without counting the number of lives. This is already happening - near Soledar, near Bakhmut. But these 500,000 newly mobilized

will just be given batons and Mosin rifles

," the military analyst noted.

We will remind, according to Ukrainian intelligence, on January 15, Russia plans to announce a new wave of mobilization and recruit up to 500,000 people into the army.

It is expected that new "mobs" will be sent on the offensive in the Donetsk, Kharkiv regions and, possibly, in the Zaporizhia region.

Military and political commentator Oleksandr Kovalenko believes that the aggressor country will not be able to provide even bulletproof vests and helmets to newly mobilized Russians.

According to military expert Oleg Zhdanov, the new mobilization may become a very difficult task for the Kremlin and potential fighters will have to be "caught with dogs".

And the lack of mobilized people can lead to the unpreparedness of the Russian Federation group before the specified deadline for a new offensive.
