"What is happening in Ukraine is not a clash between Moscow and Kyiv, but a clash of NATO, especially the USA and Great Britain, with Russia," he noted.

In this regard, Patrushev added that the Alliance is afraid of a direct confrontation with Russia, and for this reason they are using the Ukrainians as a tool, sending them to "certain death".

We are not at war with Ukraine, simply because we cannot feel hatred towards them, stressed the senior official, quoted by TASS.

He once again reminded Moscow's thesis that the "special military operation" in Ukraine is to liberate certain regions and put an end to the "bloody experiments" conducted by the West, which "does not stop destroying the fraternal Ukrainian people".
