A 28-year-old engineer of a private company died after the "temporary lift" of an under-construction building in Greater Noida crashed on Monday.

The officers provided this information.

A senior official said that the incident took place around 4.15 pm in Sector-150 under Knowledge Park police station area.

The accident occurred during the process of removing a temporary lift (used to transport construction material) from the 25th floor of an under-construction building, they said.

Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (Greater Noida) Dinesh Kumar Singh said, "The deceased has been identified as Ritik Rathore (28), a resident of Firozabad district.

He had come to remove the temporary lift.

During the removal of the lift, the supporting system could not bear the weight of the lift, due to which this accident happened.

The Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police said that on the complaint of the wife of the deceased in connection with the incident, a case has been registered against several people including Ajay Chaudhary, director of AS Builder, director of Spartan Company, two project managers.

The police is investigating the matter.
