There is always a chance for responsible politics, the question is whether there are people to take it up.

80% of citizens think that Bulgaria is going in a bad direction.

The parties are responsible for this.

They close themselves in their own party interests, the personal ambitions of the leaders are leading.

This was stated by the former Minister of Foreign Affairs, Member of the European Parliament, as well as former Speaker of the Parliament Georgi Pirinski in the program "More of the Day" on BNT.

"In order for a party to stand authoritatively before citizens, it cannot present itself to voters in the same way and expect the same results.

Parties produce contradictory results in society.

They must realize how important it is to gain the trust of the citizens," he stressed, clarifying that he was not referring to a specific political party.

"In recent months, we have seen some attempts to form a cabinet, with everyone approaching this process with a very closed position.

"Responsible political leaders must give important political topics the opportunity to rise above the mundane," Pirinski believes.

He commented on the situation on the left.

"Politicians must rise above their supra-party interests," he pointed out.

A protest was allowed to escalate into an invasion of parliament and turn into a pogrom.

After it, other processes were unlocked.

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (abbreviated BSP) has made a decision to avoid a sharp clash in society.

The government of Ivan Kostov took over the management of the country and undertook the largest-scale privatization.

The state was freed from basic structures in the economy", Georgi Pirinski described the historical events of the Transition through his eyes.

He warned that we are on the verge of breaking democracy.

"Sentiments are growing that parliamentary democracy cannot broadcast governance and a parliamentary republic should be discussed.

It cannot be governed without the trust of the citizens.

In order to get it, the people must be heard and the politicians must transform themselves so that they can attract people's attention in a new way," he further stated.
