During two checks, the customs officers from TD Mitnitsa Ruse found a total of undeclared 42,720 cigarettes (2,136 boxes), of which 13,720 cigarettes (686 boxes) had a Turkish excise label.

On 08.01.2023, in the Northern Industrial Zone of the TIR Terminal - Vidin in the area of ​​the Danube Bridge 2 checkpoint, customs officials stopped for inspection an Audi passenger car, driven by a Bulgarian citizen, leaving the country.

During the customs control, the presence of 10,000 pieces (500 boxes) of cigarettes with a Bulgarian excise label and 13,720 pieces (686 boxes) of cigarettes with a Turkish excise label was found.

For cigarettes with a Turkish excise label with "Marlboro" and "Parliament" trademarks, pre-trial proceedings were initiated under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office - Vidin, and the driver was brought in as a defendant.

For tobacco products with a Bulgarian excise label, the required documents according to ZADS have not been submitted, for which an act was drawn up to establish an administrative violation.

All excise goods are seized.

In the second case - from 06.01.2023, again in the Danube Bridge 2 - Vidin border crossing area, at around 12:30 p.m., the customs officials checked a car with a Bulgarian driver traveling to Germany.

During the customs inspection, 19,000 pieces (950 boxes) of cigarettes with a Bulgarian excise label were found, transported outside the norms for personal use.

The driver stated that the cigarettes were his and he did not have the required documents according to the ZADS regulations.

For the established violation of the driver, an act of establishing an administrative violation was drawn up and the excise goods were seized.
