The famous Joshimath town of Uttarakhand is continuously sinking, due to which the very existence of this place is in danger.
In such a situation, many important exercises are being done by the government to provide relief to the people.
Latest updates related to sinking Joshimath
A team of the Central Building Research Institute reached Joshimath on Monday to assess the damages caused to the buildings for compensation.
The team will submit its review report to the state government today itself.

According to the Chamoli District Disaster Management Authority, cracks have appeared in 603 buildings in Joshimath so far.
The administration has divided the city into three zones 'Danger', 'Buffer' and 'Completely Safe'.
The area which is completely unsafe, which has to be evacuated immediately, is called Danger Zone.
A buffer zone is a zone that is currently safe but may be at risk in the future.
And the third is completely safe area.
Secretary to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, R Meenakshi Sundaram said that the administration is conducting a survey to assess the danger and buffer zones.
The official said that the administration is also collecting data about the professionals living there.
The most damaged buildings in Joshimath will be demolished under the supervision of NIM and PWD.
The administration is preparing for this.
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami said that PM Modi has assured all possible help to the state in view of the landslide in Joshimath.
The CM said that the PM has inquired about the situation in Joshimath and is taking regular updates.
On Monday, the district administration said that basic facilities are being constantly inspected in the relief camps set up for the affected people.
Officials said that a total of 68 families have been temporarily displaced.
In Joshimath city area, 229 rooms have been marked as temporarily habitable, with an estimated capacity of 1271.
It has also ordered the immediate evacuation of residents from areas considered unsafe and highly prone to landslides, after considering the risk to life and property under sections 33 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act.
